Martin Andrew Buchwald, age 79, passed away Saturday May 19, 2012, at Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital.
He was a resident of Romeoville since 1974, and formerly of Berwyn.
Mr. Buchwald retired from Seneca Petroleum Company and the Robert Gorski Bus Company, both of Lemont, after many years of service.

He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1953-56 and a member of the New Lenox American Legion Post #1977, the Joliet VFW Post #367 and the Lockport Moose Lodge #1557.
He was active in the Senior Bowling Leagues Tuesday-Thursday and Super Senior Thursday at Strike and Spare Lanes in Lockport.

Loving Husband of 59 years to Mary Ann Buchwald, proud father of Mark Andrew (Dawn) Buchwald and Patricia Marie Buchwald Kern. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Johanna Buchwald.
Visitation is Wednesday, 4–9 p.m. at the Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Townhall Drive, Romeoville.
A private interment with military honors will take place Thursday at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood.
