Time’s running out for spring trees

The deadline to place your order for some new foliage as part of the Village of Romeville’s annual is May 3.

Residents can browse the types of trees and shrubs available and view photos by clicking here to view a printable order form.

Trees will be delivered between May 7 and June 1, weather permitting.

Draft-a-Bill

Finally, the deadline for students in grades 9-11 to enter State Rep. Emily McAsey’s contest is coming up fast on May 4.

That’s when applications must be turned in to McAsey’s constituent services office at 416 N. Weber Rd. in Romeoville.

The contest gives students the chance to pitch legislation they believe could benefit Illinois and its residents. One winner will be selected by McAsey’s Education Advisory Committee to spend a day at the State Capitol in Springfield and serve as an honorary page for the Illinois House of Representatives.
