Romeoville Football Standout Showered with Some All-State Love

Spartans defensive end Anthony Love will pick up his all-state award prior to the Class 6A state championship game on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Northern Illinois University's Huskie Stadium in DeKalb.

Romeoville High School defensive end Anthony Love has been named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association's 2013 Class 6A All-State team.

The Spartans senior will receive his award Nov. 30 at Northern Illinois University prior to the start of the Class 6A state championship football game.

Love, who is considering scholarship offers from Eastern Illinois, South Dakota and North Dakota, was the 2013 Southwest Prairie Conference Defensive Most Valuable Player and the RHS team MVP after registering 80 tackles, 7.5 sacks, and 22.5 tackles for loss while forcing three fumbles, recovering three fumbles and grabbing one interception.

He was also a member of both the 2012 and 2013 SPC All-Conference squads.

Also making All-Conference in 2013 from RHS were: Will Craig, Miguel Ford, Chuck Hunter, Kelvin Jones and Caleb Purham.
