Next: Romeoville Dance Team Will See if Hip-Hop Act Plays in Peoria

Spartanettes gain berth in Team Dance Illinois competition on March 2.

A sparkling hip-hop routine was enough to do the trick.

The Romeoville High School Varsity Spartanettes Dance Team qualified for Team Dance Illinois (TDI) state competition by hitting on its hip-hop performance in a competition Sunday at Niles North, according to a news release from the Valley View School District.

The Spartanettes advance to state competition on Sunday, March 2, at the Peoria Civic Center. Amanda Sedys serves as the team's varsity dance coach.
