Free Cookies at Jersey Mike's Subs During Veterans Day Weekend Promotion

Proceeds from fundraiser will go to support the Wreath Across America initiative.

During a Veterans Day weekend promotion (Nov. 9-11), the folks at Jersey Mike's Subs will present a free David's Cookie to customers who donate to the Wreath Across America initiative.

"It's a way for us here to give back to the people out there who take care off all of us," said Rob Mittman, marketing director for Jersey Mike's Subs in the Chicago suburbs.

He said Jersey Mike's Subs two local stores—one in Bolingbrook and the other in Romeoville—will be participating in the Veterans Day weekend promotion. And he said he is proud to play small part in the big effort to raise funds for Wreath Across America, a non-profit organization that lays hundreds of thousands of remembrance wreaths at the headstones of the nation's veteran's during the holiday season.

"It makes you feel good," Mittman said. "Jersey Mike's Subs has been a strong supporter of Wreath Across America for four years now."

Since Oct. 1, officials at Jersey Mike's stores across America have been collecting donations for Wreath Across America and, to date, the campaign has netted nearly $100,000 through in-store donations and a matching Jersey Mike's Social "Giving Menu" initiative, according to a news release.

Jersey Mike's social "Giving Menu" is a takeoff on today's popular dollar menus and encourages fans and followers to share the WAA story via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Jersey Mike's is donating $1 for each social action made, up to $25,000.
