Schools, Government Offices Closed Monday
Most banks are also closed in honor of Presidents Day.
Students and teachers have the day off Monday, thanks to Presidents Day, also known as Washington’s Birthday.
Village and county employees will also take the federal holiday off, and don’t expect to have any packages delivered via the U.S. Postal Service: there is no mail service scheduled, and post offices will be closed to mark the holiday.
Most major banks are also closed on Feb. 21, so customers looking to do some banking should check with their local branch before heading out.

Noteworthy Presidents Day closings:
- The Village of Romeoville, 1050 W. Romeo Road
- Valley View schools and administrative building, 755 Dalhart Ave.
- Plainfield Community Consolidated School District
- Will County offices
- Federal, state and county courts
The ’s three branches, however, are open Monday, with a full slate of events scheduled for the day.
