Five Things You Should Know: Halloween Edition

4. The Mayor's Costume Ball is coming up

Help local youths enjoy sports and other activities—and find another use for this year's Halloween costume—by attending this year's from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Friendship Centre at HighPoint Saturday, Nov. 5. Tickets are still available for $25 per person or $40 per couple.

5. 'Familiar Spirits' at the Lockport library branch

On Halloween, the White Oak Library District's Lockport branch will welcome William Pack and his , complete with spooky history, scary stories and supernatural feats. The free event, intended for aduls and teens ages 13 and up, starts at 7 p.m. Monday at the Lockport branch, 121 E. 8th St., Lockport. Guests should feel free to come in costume.
