Aug. 1: A New View, Shared Haircuts and the Return of RomeoFest

1. VVSD hosts community forums

New Valley View School District Superintendent James Mitchem will host two community forums this week to for the district. The first is set for 6 p.m. Monday at the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Road; those who can’t make it that night are invited to attend a second forum at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 4, at the Sarah and Joseph Levy Center, 251 Canterbury in Bolingbrook.

2. RomeoFest starts Thursday

The , on the Village of Romeoville municipal grounds and the Romeoville Recreation Center grounds. Plenty of entertainment, food and fun are scheduled for the four-day fest, which goes out with a bang — and a fireworks display — on Sunday, Aug. 7.

3. Attention athletes and parents of athletes

students will be offered at the campus on Saturday, Aug. 6, for $25.

4. Share a Haircut

Starting Monday, at either of two Romeoville Hair Cuttery locations.
