'Adopt' a Family for Christmas through the Village

Operation Christmas is seeking people to purchase gifts for needy families in Romeoville.

The village of Romeoville is sponsoring Operation Christmas, in which they're seeking people to assist needy families in the community.

Residents who "adopt" a family are asked to provide one new outfit (shirt and pants) for each child 12 and younger, to buy one new toy for each child 12 and younger and to purchase gift certificates totaling $50 for each family member between the ages of 13 and 18.

The Rev. Susan Hurdle is coordinating the effort with Dawn Caldwell, assistant village manager. The can be reached at revhurdle@sbcglobal.net and dcaldwell@romeoville.org.
