Complete with opening and closing ceremonies, events include age-appropriate physical and cognitive games including exercises, trivia, crafts, bean bag toss, Wii bowling, golf and more.  This set of February programs is yet another example of the current events trend at Senior Star, whereby residents have the opportunity to stay connected with world events through activities, discussions and creative arts.  “Our activities staff does an outstanding job of connecting global events with monthly programs at Weber Place,” said Michelle Franzak, executive director of Senior Star at Weber Place.  “Living in a retirement community doesn’t mean that you live in a silo, it means a new stage in life with endless opportunities.  We use world events as a way to engage residents in daily and monthly activities, which are designed to keep them current and showcase their talents and interests.”
