Former Sports Greats Set to Golf for Marklund

May 13, 2014 (Geneva & Bloomingdale, IL)   Twenty former professional athletes will gather in Bloomingdale in support of children and adults with developmental disabilities as they join nearly 200 others at the Marklund 32nd Annual Golf Classic. Held Thursday, May 29, at the Hilton Chicago-Indian Lakes Resort in Bloomingdale, the golf outing is a major fundraiser for Marklund, a nonprofit organization that provides residential, educational, therapeutic and supportive services to children and adults with profound disabilities.

Topping the list of celebrity golfers who will be assigned to the many golf foursomes is Chicago Bears Super Bowl Champion Emery Moorehead. Other notable celebs playing the course include:

We could not do it without the support of the many donors and volunteers who believe in our mission.”

The tournament will feature a shotgun start at 1 p.m. and will play on all three of the Indian Lakes courses. The event will conclude with a dinner and silent auction in the Resort.
