Jimano's Giving Away Lifetime of Free Pizza During 'March Mania'

Chicagoland pizza chain Jimano's this week launched its "March Mania" contest, which rewards players for correctly predicting college basketball results.

Players can win a variety of prizes, including a lifetime of free pizza. Players can create their own leagues and recruit other basketball fans via the March Mania website.

The chain, which has a Romeoville location at 365 S. Budler Rd., will give away one free thin-crust pizza per week (for life!) to its "Mega Award" winner.  To win the lifetime of free pizza, entrants must have the most number of correct picks and "build the biggest league," by inviting other people to play.  

March Mania started March 17 and lasts for the duration of the basketball tournament through April 7. Unlike traditional college basketball brackets, fans can start playing at any time — but those who join early have a better chance of winning big prizes.   

Grand prizes include the MVP award for the "Biggest League" winner, who will get a an iPad Mini and a free year of pizza (one free thin-crust pizza per week for 52 weeks, starting April 8).

The "Most Correct Picks" winner will get a $1,000 Amazon gift card.

The "Biggest League" AND "Most Correct Picks" player will get a lifetime of free pizza.

This is the first time in Jimano's history that the pizza chain has offered a lifetime of free pizza.

"We’ve done sports tickets, HDTVs and a year of free pizza before,” said Rod Seale, CEO of JP Operations, “but we wanted a prize that players could really get excited about: something that would drive a little friendly competition.”

• Round 1 (Day 1 & 2 • 3/20-21): 50% Off Any Size Pizza (16+ Correct Picks)
• Round 2 (Day 3 & 4 • 3/22-23): Free Pasta (9+ Correct Picks)
• Round 3 (Day 5 & 6 • 3/27-28): $20 Jimano’s Gift Card (6+ Correct Picks)
• Round 4  (Day 7 & 8 • 3/29-30): $40 Jimano’s Gift Card (4 Correct Picks)
• Round 5 (Day 9 • 4/5): Free Breadstix (2 Correct Picks)
• Round 6 (Day 10 • 4/7): 10 Free Wings (1 Correct Pick)
