From the Village of Romeoville:

Area developers and local officials recently attended Romeoville's 12th Annual Economic Development Forum at the Lewis University Airport.

The May 16 economic forum, hosted by the Romeoville Economic Development Commission, showcased available sites in Romeoville and provided an outstanding networking opportunity for developers and local officials.

Featured speaker was McDonald's Senior VP Jim Carras, who spoke about the familiar fast food restaurant, its steady growth and plans for future growth and improvements.

The second speaker of the morning was Metrostudy's Director of Midwest Markets, Chris Huecksteadt, who provided an overview on today's residential real estate industry and what it means for tomorrow.

"The future of Romeoville is filled with new and exciting retail developments. The new Athletic and Event Center, which is under construction, will provide greater retail opportunities along the Route 53 corridor," said Mayor John Noak.
