Romeoville Dominick's Employees Receive Word of End Date

One of two things most likely is going to happen to the Dominick's grocery store in Romeoville, 435 Weber Road, before the end of the year.

1. The store will be sold.

2. The store will be closed.

Safeway Inc. announced plans this week to close all unsold Dominick's grocery stores on Dec. 28, according to a Crain's Chicago Business report.

In a memo to employees, Dewayne Howard, Dominick's director of human resources, said all employees will be "separated" and "the closures are expected to be permanent," according to the Crain's report.
