Now's the time to fill up — in Romeoville since last week. Here’s a roundup of the area’s lowest fuel prices as listed by GasBuddy.com.

Romeoville's cheapest gas was selling for $3.69 Monday morning at Speedway, 1300 Normantown; 7-Eleven, 679 N. Weber; and Shell, 1285 Lakeview Drive.

The neighboring village had similarly priced gas, with the cheapest gallon going for $3.69 at Shell, 398 S. Bolingbrook Drive; and 7-Eleven, 1201 Weber Road.

Plainfield's cheapest gas was selling for $4.75 at Thornton's, 15800 S. Route 59; Mobil, 14808 S. Route 59; and Phillips 66, 15809 S. Route 59.

The average gas price in Chicago was $3.89, compared with $4 one week ago, while the Illinois average was $3.77. The national average is $3.60 per gallon, according to chicagogasprices.com.
