Gas prices continue to creep up following the Fourth of July weekend. Here’s a roundup of the area’s lowest fuel prices as listed by GasBuddy.com.
Romeoville's cheapest gas was selling for $3.82 Wednesday morning at 7-Eleven, 679 N. Weber; Speedway, 1300 Normantown Road; and Shell, 1285 Lakeview Drive.
BolingbrookIn neighboring Bolingbrook, prices were pretty much the same, with the lowest price of $3.82 seen at 7-Eleven, 1201 Weber Road.

Once again, Plainfield had the lowest gas price, with fuel selling for $3.74 per gallon at Thornton's, 15800 S. Route 59.
The average gas price in Chicago was at $4.00 per gallon Wednesday, while the Illinois average was $3.86. The national average is $3.58 per gallon, according to chicagogasprices.com.
