What started out as a hobby now is a business for Romeoville's Nichole Rubenacker, a stay-at-home-mother of four children.
"I have a love for crochet!" she said in introducing her business NMJCrochetCreations on Etsy.com.
She makes specialty crochet items, many suited to young children. And she's already teaching her two daughters—Mackenzie, 8, and Jasmine, 6, how to crochet.

Rubenacker is the first local artisan to be featured on Bolingbrook/Romeoville Patch in what we hope becomes a popular weekly series. If you know someone else in the area you'd like to see featured, please email me at email@example.com.
