Exciting day. Another milestone.

During a special grand opening ceremony for the new Sam's Club, Romeoville Mayor John Noak delivered some heartfelt remarks and welcomed the Sam's Club team to town, according to a report in the Times Weekly.

"Welcome to Romeoville," Noak stated in the report. "It's a very exciting day for our community. It's another milestone as we continue to develop our community ... and we're so excited to have Sam's Club open here in our community, bringing jobs, new revenue and a lot of excitement along with it."

The newest Sam's Club location—460 Weber Road—is the 21st Sam's Club in the Chicago area, according to the Times Weekly report. The store has 136,000 square feet of retail space.

"You can fit the entire Romeoville High School football field inside this building and still have more room," stated the club's manager, Rico Cortez, in the Times Weekly report.
