Weber Road Tilted Kilt Under New Ownership

A new team is now managing the Weber Road pub.

The Bolingbrook Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery has new owners and managers, the company announced this week.

The restaurant, 1051 S. Weber Rd., has been open since late 2011. Earlier this year, its previous managers were hit with a lawsuit alleging they were at least $100,000 behind on rent.

The chain, which boasts "a fun, friendly and inviting atmosphere for family and friends to gather for a Celtic meal" on Thursday announced that the Bolingbroko location is now owned by Englishman Kevin Pearson. According to Tilted Kilt, Pearson has more than 30 years' experience owning and operating business concepts.

The restaurant also has an experienced new management team.

General Manager John Flores has been working for Tilted Kilt for nearly five years and worked his way up to the assistant GM position at the Woodridge pub.

The team also includes Jordan Flisk, who started working for Tilted Kilt as a hostess, working her way up to corporate training and going on to help open for pubs. Flisk was promoted by management by the time she was 21, the company said.

General Manager Josh Griffith has seven years of experience managing Tilted Kiltpubs, and Anthony Steinmiller was manager of the Oakbrook Terrace location for two years, according to the chain.

“Each one of our managers has extensive experience with the brand and I am confident their leadership skills will help position Tilted Kilt of Bolingbrook as the first restaurant people think of when they want great tasting food and the ultimate sports viewing experience,” said Pearson. “It is our goal to make the pub a fun place for our employees and guests.”

The "Tilted Kilt concept has its roots deep in the rousing tradition of Scottish, Irish and English Pubs," according to the company's website, but "it actually first came to life in America’s own sin city, Las Vegas."
