Romeoville Branch Library's Lower Level ALMOST Completed

Romeoville Branch Library renovation of lower level soon to be completed.

Its's been a LONG time since anyone driving by the Romeoville Branch of the White Oak Library District has't seen construction crews at work at that location. Just visit our website and take a look at construction photos tracing the progress from demolition of the lower level to our emerging sleek new spaces we know the public will enjoy.

The new southern entrance is framed by an elegant arch with a spacious new expanse of concrete and stairs. I know many patrons will be happy to say goodbye to our ramp entrance!

As we near the completion of our lower level renovation, I must say a big THANK YOU to all our visitors, who patiently endured the inconvenience of "living" in a building undergoing major construction work. You have been gracious and understanding and that attitude has certainly helped the library staff stay as positive as you all have been.

With construction staying on target, we hope to begin moving into the lower level sometime in mid-December. Of course we will have to be closed to the public during that timeframe and have set Dec.19 to Jan. 1, 2012 as the two weeks for our move. Our sister libaries in Crest Hill and Lockport will be open to serve your needs.
