Comedy group set to perform at Lewis University on Jan. 13

As part of its touring series, Lewis University will host five groups during the spring semester.  The first event of the series is a performance called "The Black-Jew Dialogues" at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 in the Philip Lynch Theatre located on the University's main campus in Romeoville.

This two-actor play explores the history and absurdity of prejudice and racism within the context of the American Black-Jew experience.  The Black-Jew Dialogues combines fast-paced sketches, improvisations, interactive video and audience participation to create a show that has gained praise across the United States and the United Kingdom.  Dealing with sensitive and complicated issues in a unique and engaging way, the comedy group allows its audience members to examine the true nature of prejudice and how the inability to face biases separates people in many ways.

Non-refundable $10 tickets for the performance may be purchased through the Philip Lynch Theatre. For more information, please call the PLT box office at (815) 836-5500, open Monday through Friday from 1– 4:30 p.m.  The Philip Lynch Theatre is located on the main campus of Lewis University on Route 53 in Romeoville.
