Whiz Kids: Daisy Troop 220

Each week, Romeoville Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments.

And without further ado, this week's Whiz Kid is...

 Daisy Troop 220

• Whiz Kids’ Names: Ashley Deutch, Ariana Jamski, Emily McGregor, Katlyn Carpenter, Isabella Scorza, Kaylee Kasper, Mary Concklin, Zita Vanaria, Janet Wodarski, Jessica Cetera and Olivia Morgan.
• Whiz Kids' Age(s): 5, 6 and 7
• Whiz Kids’ Schools: Creekside, and elementaries
• Whiz Kids’ Accomplishment: The girls volunteer one Thursday each month to visit residents at Senior Star at Weber Place. The Daisies are also working on earning dual patches, their required Daisy petals and their Journey patches.
• Whiz Kids’ Key to Awesomeness: The girls have shown great pride in their community outreach, according to Troop Leader Elizabeth Scorza. "I believe that the girls and seniors alike truly (enjoy) meeting and the experience," Scorza said. "I have heard nothing but good things from the coordinators of the Senior Star Home ... These girls are definitely our future leaders."

 Thanks to a partnership with Nancy's Pizza, each Weekly Whiz Kid will receive a certificate good for for one free slice of pizza at the restaurant's or location.
