Photos: Friends Host 'Alliance for Ali' to Benefit Romeoville Woman
Friends and loved ones came together during a "block party" event at Mongo McMichael's to raise money for RHS grad who suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Friends, family and community members rallied around Romeoville native Ali Hartman and her family at Saturday's "Alliance for Ali" event at . In June, Ali, 23, suffered a fractured skull in an accident, leading to traumatic brain injury. Proceeds from the event will help pay the 2006 graduate's mounting medical bills.
About 200 people attend Saturday's block party event, featuring the music of "Lights Out," a tribute to the British band UFO. The event also featured raffles, 50/50 drawings and door prizes. All of the prizes were donated to the cause by business and individuals.
