Photo Contest: Send us Your Spookiest Scenes

Has your once-peaceful yard been transformed into a nightmarish landscape of ghosts, ghouls and zombies? Have spiders (and don’t forget their webs), vampires and all sorts of otherwordly creatures taken up residence in your home? Or are you planning a costume that will put the others to shame with its creativity, authenticity or downright spookiness?

If so, Patch wants to see it. It’s the scariest season of the year, and Romeoville Patch is hosting the creepiest contest of them all. Send us photos of your best Halloween décor, from haunted houses to graveyard scenes, or photos of yourself, your kids, your dog (or cat!) in  costume for the chance to win.

Just send your photos to shannon.antinori@patch.com or upload them here by clicking “add your own photos” at the top right of this article. It’s that easy.

But don’t forget to include your name or the names of the individuals in your photos. And if you’ve got a super-scary haunted house or creepy yard and you don’t mind gawkers passing by to take in the spooky scene, let us know, and include your address.

The Halloween photo gallery will run now through Halloween. Readers will have until Nov. 1 to vote for their favorite photo in the comments section. The winner will be announced Nov. 2, and will receive a $25 gift card to .
