Mongo is a 3-year-old male pit bull/bulldog/terrier mix described as a “sweetie pie”:

Mongo is very good with other dogs and kids. He is very calm and good with most other social dogs but has not been introduced to cats. This loverboy turns into a teddy bear with children, loving to give kisses and lick faces. Mongo's overall temperament is wonderful - he doesn't get overly excited, but he can be very active and playful too, he seems to know the right times to have fun and play. This well-behaved boy knows to stay off the furniture, so his favorite comfy spot is his nice warm dog bed. He does not like laying on hard surfaces, so his new home should be fully equipped with a nice soft cushy dog bed. He is mostly housebroken, he has been trained to go outside and is crate-trained if his foster dad will be gone for long periods of time with no issues. This handsome fella is very smart and picks up on training very quickly and very well. He learned "sit" and "down" commands as well as going into another room when the family is eating so he has learned not to beg for food. He "sits" for his meals and when it is time to go outside. His forever home should be prepared for a strong breed dog and be able to handle his strength. Overall Mongo is a super friendly and sweetheart of a dog. He will make a magnificent pet and companion.
