Meet Mavis, a goofy and fun 1-year-old female pit bull/terrier mix:

Mavis is a wonderful young lady - She is basically housebroken and crate-trained. She loves her people and wants to be around you always, she’s learning she is not a small lap dog. Make her the center of attention and give plenty of cuddle time and you have a friend for life! Other dogs she has done well with, as well as cats, but small animals such as ferrets and hamsters need to be kept far away from her. Kids - oh yes - Miss Mavis LOVES children, she shares her home with 4 children ranging from older toddler to pre-teen and she enjoys them all. She does not seem to know her own strength so you must watch her as she is a strong dog and may be overpowering when wanting to jump up and lick faces to give kisses. She has no food aggression and has fairly good table manners. Mavis is doing pretty good on her walks on a leash, she pulls a little, but this is improving. This energetic girl does need a fenced yard to run and play. She loves her toys, especially squeaky ones, but can tear them up from lots of play. Be sure to have her leashed when opening the door. Overall, this young girl is very loving, funny, friendly, and full of lots of personality. She will make a great pet and companion to one lucky family!
