Both teams paid tribute Tamara at the game. This is what Patty wrote:

"Last night there was a youth hockey game at the Rocket Ice Arena in Bolingbrook - Naperville Sabres vs. Romeoville Huskies, Bantam AA teams. Tamara’s sons, Shaw and Nigel, have ties to both hockey teams. Tamara’s younger son, Nigel, currently skates for the Sabres. He also has ties to the Huskies team, which he skated for a couple years ago, and many of his friends still skate for the Huskies.

"As a salute to Tamara, players from both teams placed TW stickers on their sticks during last night’s game. The sticker can be better seen in the Sabre team photo with the blue band around the neck of their sticks.

"When the game ended (2-2 tie), players & coaches gathered at center ice, dropped a knee, and said a prayer. Not a dry eye in the rink!

"Tamara’s son, Nigel, is wearing the white jersey No. 15 with WATKINS across the back."
