Have You Signed Up Yet? Relay Kickoff is Tonight

The inaugural Relay For Life of Romeoville is July 23 and 24 at Village Hall.

Planning for the first-ever Relay For Life of Romeoville is in full swing.

Tonight, community members are invited to learn more about the event, from the opening survivors’ lap to the moving luminaria ceremony, at the , starting at 7 p.m. at .

So far, about 15 teams have registered for the American Cancer Society fundraiser, set for July 23 and 24 at Village Hall. The signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, the event takes place overnight “because cancer never sleeps.”

Teams of eight to 15 people camp out and walk the path, celebrating life and honoring those who have lost their battle with cancer. The funds raised will be used to help prevent cancer through the American Cancer Society programs of research, education, advocacy and patient services.
