Fundraiser to benefit veterans this Saturday at Culver's in Romeville

The Knights of Columbus Bishop Roger Kaffer Council #10944 and the Romeoville American Legion Post 52 are planning a "Food and Flag Fundraiser" from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, May 26, at restaurant at 485 N. Weber Road in Romeoville.

Culver’s will donate 20 percent of the proceeds from food purchases from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday to help the groups purchase wheelchairs for veterans and to benefit the , an American Legion Hall that would contain housing for local veterans as well as a therapeutic component for servicemen and women suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and injuries.

Diners should mention the Knights of Columbus or American Legion when they place their orders on Saturday to ensure that proceeds will benefit the causes.

The groups will also be selling several sizes and styles of American flags at a table near the restaurant’s main entrance.
