Community Garage Sale Set for Saturday

Bargain hunters won’t have to travel very far this weekend to find steals and deals.

The village’s 14th annual will kick off at 8 a.m. Saturday, continuing until 4 p.m.

This year, roughly 160 homeowners have signed up to be part of the event, according to recreation department Special Events Coordinator Marissa Cardoni.

It may be too late to register as a vendor — the deadline was April 22 — but there’s plenty of time to scoop up bargains.

A list of participating addresses is available online; at Village Hall, 1050 W. Romeo Road; and the Romeoville Recreation Center, 900 W. Romeo Road.

“It lists all the homes and what they’re selling,” whether it’s housewares, appliances, toys, books, clothing and more, Cardoni said.
