Boil Order Issued for Belmont Drive in Romeoville

A boil order will be in effect for Belmont Drive from 9 a.m. Thursday until at least Friday afternoon, according to the Village of Romeoville.

The Village of Romeoville announced Wednesday that water will be turned off to Belmont Drive in order to conduct valve repairs starting Thursday morning.

Water will be turned off at 9 a.m. Thursday, and repairs should take several hours, according to the village. Once service is restored, residents in the area that experienced the service outage should boil water for five minutes before using it, the village said in a press release.

The boil order will remain in effect until laboratory sampling confirms that water quality has been fully restored. The earliest the village anticipates lifting the order is Friday afternoon, the village said in a release. Residents will be notified once the boil order is lifted.

Call the Romeoville public works department at 815-886-1870 for more information.
