Property Crimes: Stolen Truck, Wallet Thefts, Car and House Burglaries

Also one instance of graffiti and several cases of retail theft reported to the Romeoville Police Department.

 

The Romeoville Police Department took reports on the following property crimes:

A customer's wallet was taken from her purse in a shopping car in a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Wallet and contents valued at $165; report made at 7:50 p.m. Dec. 19.

Copper pipe valued at $1,000 taken from a residence in the 500 block of Anna. Report made at 12:34 p.m. Dec. 22.

Graffiti spraypainted on a business in the 500 block of Anderson. Damage valued at $100; report made at 7 p.m. Dec. 26.

A GPS, dog grooming tools, iPod and video camera, valued at a total of $1,600, taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 600 block of Avalon. Report made at 2:37 p.m. Dec. 27.

A car stereo valued at $1,200 taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 200 block of Linden Avenue. Report made at about 3:20 p.m. Dec. 27.

Ten to 15 boxes of Prilosec OTC, valued at more than $300, taken in a retail theft at a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Report made at 6:02 p.m. Dec. 27.

A rosary valued at $20 taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a residence in the 200 block of Hemlock. Report made at 8:49 p.m. Dec. 27.

A Ford F450 dump truck valued at $35,000 taken from a business in the 1200 block of Windham Parkway. Report made at 11:25 a.m. Dec. 28.

Several electronic items, sports memorabilia and pieces of jewelry, valued at a total of $7,660, take from a residence in the 300 block of Macon. Report made at 1:05 a.m. Dec. 29.

A customer's wallet was taken from her purse in a shopping cart in a business in the 0 to 100 block of South Weber Road. Wallet and contents valued at $520; report made at 1:53 p.m. Dec. 29.

A customer's wallet taken while victim was at a business in the 400 block of South Weber Road. Wallet and contents valued at $100; report made at 2:22 p.m. Dec. 30.

Six bottles of liquor valued at $254.94 taken by an unknown man in a retail theft at a business in the 400 block of North Weber Road. Report made at 3:23 p.m. Jan. 2.

So Target is 349 and Walmart is 420 so I'm guessing that someone is stealing women's purses in Walmart.

My wife had her purse stolen at the walmart in Bolingbrook about 4 years ago. Lessoned learned don't leave it in your cart and walk away from it to shop.
