Man charged with battery

Matthew Harris, 58, of the 1-100 block of Woodland Glen Street, Park Forest, was arrested by Romeoville police at 9:21 p.m. in the 700 block of Center Boulevard and charged with battery, police said.

Suspended license, speeding

Korin Navarro, 19, of the 14000 block of Hastings Court, Plainfield, was arrested at 3:47 p.m. at Airport and Weber roads and charged with driving on a suspended license, speeding and failure to secure a child, police said.

Underage drinking arrest

Jennett Ascencio, 20, of the 1900 block of Sommerset Drive, Romeoville, was arrested at 12:08 p.m. in the 500 block of Fair Meadows and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, according to police.

Theft charge

Rosaura Espinoza, 38, of the 600 block of Allen Street, Joliet, was arrested at 1:54 p.m. in the 200 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft, police said.

Warrant arrest with traffic charges

Jose Melendez, 31, of the 14000 block of Hemingway, Plainfield, was arrested at 6:10 p.m. at Belmont and Paragon and charged with driving with no license or insurance and speeding, along with being booked on an in-state warrant, according to police reports.

Luis Perez-Sanchez, 53, of the 400 block of Garnsey, Joliet, was arrested at 6:04 p.m. at Route 53 and Joliet Road and charged with driving with no license, no insurance and no registration light, police said.

Anthony Caruso, 19, of the 1400 block of 14th Street, St. Charles, was arrested at 3:58 a.m. at Budler and Weslake and charged with driving on a suspended license and improper lane use, police said.

No license, no insurance

Luis Perez-Bravo, 29, of the 4800 block of Winchester, Chicago, was arrested at 8:05 a.m. at 135th Street and Arsenal Road and charged with driving without a license or insurance and speeding, police said.

Teen charged with DUI

Kevin Lhotak, 18, of the 2000 block of Whitmore, Romeoville, was arrested at 1:57 a.m. at Budler and Airport roads and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and having no registration light or insurance, police said.
