Arrests reported by Romeoville police, May 2-12
Suspended license, loud exhaust
Steven Fraime, 21, of the 600 block of Montrose Drive, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police and charged with driving while license is suspended and loud exhaust following a police traffic stop at 8:04 p.m. at Belmont and Amherst drives.
Aggravated assault, battery, fighting
Jesse Ramos, 19, of the 400 block of Tallman, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 8:49 p.m. in the 300 block of Independence Blvd. and charged with aggravated assault. Two juveniles were also arrested at the same time and location and charged with battery and fighting.
Daniel Knudson, 20, of the 2000 block of Whitmore, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 2:07 p.m. in the 400 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft.
Criminal damage to property
A resident of the 200 block of Zinnia Drive reported criminal damage to property. Police reports indicate a blunt object was used to smash four windows of a vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost of repair is $500.
Mike Janek, 48, of the 200 block of Healy Ave., Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 5:03 p.m. and charged with battery.
Theft of jewelry
A resident of the 400 block of Melissa Circle reported the theft of a pendant with an estimated value of $3,000 from the residence.
A resident of the 200 block of Malibu Drive reported the burglary of several appliances with an estimated value of $600. Police reports say the residence was unoccupied and for sale.
Criminal damage to property
A resident of the 100 block of Ambassador reported criminal damage to property. Police reports say a window screen and a front door screen were damaged by a sharp object. Estimated cost to repair the screens is $60.00.
A resident of the 1300 block of Highpoint Drive reported a rock was used to smash a passenger side window and damage the passenger door of a vehicle that was parked in a public parking area. Estimated cost to repair the damage is $400.00.
Burglary from motor vehicle
A resident of the 400 block of Macon reported a burglary a cell phone and prescription glasses were taken from an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the driveway of the residence. Estimated cost of the items is $190.00.
Denitsa Owikoti, 18, of the 1600 block of William Drive, Romeoville; Danielle Hatley, 18, of the 14000 block of Weller Drive, Plainfield; and Marissa Villarrubia, 18, of the 100 block of Fairfield Drive, Romeoville, were arrested by Romeoville police at 2:35 p.m. in the 300 block of Weber Road and charged with retail theft.
A business in the 400 block of Weber Road reported someone stole several bottles of alcohol worth an estimated $300.
Suspended license, uninsured motor vehicle, disobeying traffic device
Marcos Mendoza, 20, of the 1600 block of Kimberly Lane, Romeoville, was arrested by Romeoville police at 1:43 p.m. at Weber and Airport roads and charged with driving while license is suspended, uninsured motor vehicle and disobeying a traffic device.
Suspended license, no seatbelt, possession of cannabis
Ronald Jones, 19, of the 1800 block of Arbor Lane, Crest Hill, was arrested by Romeoville police at 12:15 a.m. at Weber and Renwick roads and charged with driving while license is suspended, failure to wear seatbelt and possession of cannabis.
A resident of the 200 block of Zinnia reported someone entered the back yard of the residence and removed six folding chairs and a folding table with an estimated cost of $360.00.
