Ditto! She is from the animal hospital I work for. She was captured running wild at Brookfield Zoo when she was 5 weeks old.
Rowan! she's a mix of Calico and Siamese. Well traveled as a kitten. Found under a trailer in Texas, takend by a friend to Alabama ,and I picked her up there and brought her back to IL
Spenser!! Got him from the vet as well. He was trapped as a small kitten in a nearby forest preserve. He had an injury to his face. Once he was healed I brought him home.

According to Veterinary Pet Insurance Co (VPI) and Petfinder.com, a roundup of the most popular pet names in 2011 saw a new top name for cats, although the trend to use traditionally human names continues.

The top 5 cat names in 2011 were Bella (new winner), Max, Chloe, Oliver and Lucy. Rounding out the top 10 were Shadow, Smokey, Tiger, Charlie and Tigger.

So while human names rule the roost for dogs, there are still lots of traditional "animal" names in the cat world.

Take our poll, add your cat's name in the comments if it did not make the list, and most importantly, post a photo of that kitty!

These two cuties are my daughter Kristina's adopted kittens who reside in Romeoville. Isabella on top and Lucy on the bottom. They have been a joy to our family and so loving and I the proud Grandma taking this opportunity to show off their 2011 X-Mas picture. They also are two sisters and when my daughter went to adopt them her intention was only purchasing one but could not separate them. . I think these two very spoiled kittens are so lucky to have my daughter who takes such good care of them both. Thank you for this opportunity to share.

I had to be fair and post my other daughter's cat and her name is Lillian and we call her Lilly for short. This picture was taken this x-mas and she just loved sitting under the tree. She was so gentle she never knocked one ornament off the branches. The story is youngest daughter Lindsy always dreamed of having a cat and with 2 dogs did not think it was possible. One day I took my two dogs to the groomer and there were 2 kittens in cages at the store up for adoption who came from a kill shelter. I thought this may be a good opportunity to see how the kittens would interact with my dogs. The one ran away but not the other and that is how we decided to choose her. She was about 8 months and adjusted well to her new surroundings. She now thinks she is a dog and Lilly is the queen of the house! We love Lillian and are so blessed to have found her. I found out later that somebody else came along and adopted the other kitten. Thank you again for allowing us to post our cats this was so fun :-)
