It was the end of an era as work began Thursday to demolish Crazy Rock, a strip club that sat just off Route 53 for decades. The village purchased the site this summer and after determining that structurally it would take too much to renovate, the Romeoville Village Board opted to have it torn down to make way for future redevelopment.

With a parking space that large, work things out 15 truck drivers can sleep there before taking off at 6 am. Another thing is where the old jewel was Romeoville can make close to 1 million in tax revanue per year if they decide to have a diesel semi fill up station as 8 can fill up at once there is a lot of space

I hope your not serious Harry...I was only being facetious. Romeoville has enough pollution with the refinery and coal power plant, it doesnt need more semi trucks idling overnight so drivers can "sleep". Also, there is probably more drugs and prostitution at a truck stop than at the Crazy Rock. And 1 million in tax revenue? Where did you come up with that number?

The only thing Crazy Rock did for Romeoville was bring down our property values and leave a negative stigma on our town. The sign was offensive to a lot of women and the establishment was way too close to our schools including the nearby daycare center around the corner. What put Romeoville on the map was the doppler radar at Lewis. This tax payer and resident could not be happier to see it gone! Good riddens!

@John, truck drivers have a tough time finding diesel fuel in the states, diesel fuel fill up station at sparten square would mean a great deal of tax revaunue as the oil companis keep raising the cost all the time so why not take the opportunity by creating a diesel fuel fill up station in the town. I'm not gonna really argue here as I have rights to a freedom of speech as well:P

We all have ideas Harry, as crazy as they may be. :) My only point was I dont think a truck stop is much different than a strip club. Both bring in the same amount of money, crime, prostitution, and drugs, and both are equally unattractive. If they were so great, every town would have one. BTW, I think there is a truck stop just up 53 by I55.

Did Crazy Wally's daughter run that place into the ground? Looks as good as his unfinished memorial on 135th st and his estate across from the old Ace hardware. I doubt that strip clud ruined property values for that area,it was across the street and out of view from the homes.

Glad its gone! That place destroyed a lot of young women's lives. Young girls looking for a quick buck turn into drug addicted prostitutes. Everytime you passed the place the sign always had a R.I.P somebody on it. Won't miss the place one bit!

For the record I am a medical student and former dancer of that horrible place. I work there for one month a few Summers ago. It was suggested by a girl I was in school with because going to school and working two jobs to pay for it was taking a toll on me. Anyways.. that one month I seen more dishonesty, distrust, hatred, lust and greed than I had my whole life. The women who worked there were by far some of the most heartless, selfish, self indulged, backstabbing, careless whores on the planet... Once they clear away the debris I'm sure they will find the porthole to hell! I can't imagine anything good ever came out of that place.

Hey I loved that place! Best bj's in town under $1.99! I love how the women ( I use that word just to describe their gender because we all know no real women ever came out of that place ) would latch onto a guys soon as he got the door and the frist thing they all wanted to know was your name and what you did for a living and if you were married. And that's how they referred to you there on out..... Steven the Ring dentist, Nick the no ring truck driver, Mike the Ring mechanic, etc. etc. and the shared that info with each other so they could estimate how much money you made and how much you can spend on them. I was referred to as Daniel no ring the Harris CEO... But in all reality I was Danny the no ring cashier at Ace. Needless to say Daniel the no ring Harris CEO got and alot of $1.99 happy ending some with face shots some not. I will I truly miss all those c**k suckers!

There was many nights I sat and imagined that place being destroyed. Happy it's finally gone! Too bad all the damaged it caused cant beyond on. That place and the whores it housed torn apart my marriage separating my children from their father and changed the whole course of my life. Glad it's gone! Feel sorry for the people who have to clean it up! I'm sure everything sticky and covered in hepatitis, syphilis, gonorrhea, etc.

LMAO. Hey he is what he is bad judgement on my part but it didn't help having every self loathing succubus it filling he's head with lies. He went in for a bachelor party and came out broke with clamidia... Believer of good!?! Let me guess your an ex dancer now married with kids and every status on your FB in now a Bible verse? Yes everyone "chooses" to do what they do just like every whore in that place chose to do more than just dance for the customers. They CHOSE to be vindictive liars.

I have never even heard of Romeoville until I heard of Crazy Rock. There are strip clubs everywhere. Not every person in there was a whore but 98% of those men were married, had girlfriends or a pregnant girl at home and all said fuck her. Or I'm single. So your marriage wasn't shit to begin with. Apparently you weren't satisfying your man at home. And I wasn't a dancer there I was just a waitress and all those men cared about was fucking something other than what was at home. And 2 out of 200 men to walk in had on rings. None of them claimed their "women" at home. And for the girl that said she worked there and it was backstabbing girl that's everywhere! Every strip club, every restaurant, every retail. The difference is they are open about it. Those bitches weren't there to be your friends, they were there to make money dog eat dog. And the establishment was too close to the school and daycares and the sign was offensive rightttttttt!! But yet there were 3 registered sex offenders within a mile of the daycare and school. Got cha!!

Oh yes and those girls ruined their own lives. Girls fuck at every strip club and you think these girls have stopped dancing?? Nope not at all! Those girls chose to stick needles in their arms and snort coke and to fuck for money. No one forced them to. So yes let them rest in peace but still they made those decisions. Anything for a buck! In all actuality girls at this place are an example of why every guy that walks in a strip club thinks he can bang a stripper. ##to each their own# R.I.P Crazy Rock##R.I.P. Wally
