Billy Joe & Sheila Need a Home -- Maybe Yours?
These two short-hair cats are siblings that are available for adoption through the Romeoville Humane Society.
This story was submitted by the Romeoville Humane Society:
Meet brother and sister duo Billy Joe and Sheila – both are shorthair, 8½-year-old cats that are front paw declawed and have never been separated. They need to be adopted as a pair:
Billy Joe is an affectionate big boy who wants to be near you but not on top of you and enjoys his share of attention but also likes to do his own thing. Sheila is his sweet sister who knows her place in the family is to be the lap cat whose job is to keep her people’s laps toasty warm. Sheila can be timid at first and very shy, but big brother Billy Joe is there to keep an eye on her to make sure she’s OK. She seems to know he is there to keep her safe and she lets her guard down. Billy has a beautifully colored buff coat and likes to be brushed. Sheila is absolutely gorgeous with a thick charcoal tortoiseshell coat and stunning green eyes who will push her way in to steal some grooming time. Each of them can be quite playful, but only after they have completed one of many cat naps. Neither have been introduced to dogs and are best in a home with no small children and preferably no other cats; at their age the added stress of other animals or loud children could send them into hiding. These two are like ying and yang, but complement each other nicely. Together they make the absolute purr-fect cat companion! At their age, they very much need a family to call their own and place to settle in fur-ever and know they are finally “home”.
This combo adoption fee is $150 for both cats which includes their spay & neuter, vaccines, fecal and heartworm tests, microchipping and registration.
