Are We Too Obsessed with Celeb News?

Enquiring minds need to know: Is it just fun escapism to read celeb magazines and watch "Entertainment Tonight," or are we doing it too much? Take our poll.

Reading People magazine and watching Entertainment Tonight seem like harmless guilty pleasures, a way to get a glimpse into the lives of people who fill up our TV and movie screens and to enjoy a bit of escapism from our harried lives.

But when a paparazzo gets killed trying to snap photos of Justin Bieber and Newsweek magazine has lost so many readers that it's been forced to switch to an online-only format, have things gone too far? Do we know and care more about Brad and Angelina than Barack and Congress?

Where do you come down on this topic? Take our poll and leave your opinion in the comment box below.

Last week, we asked readers if the thought the Chicago Bears were right to fire coach Lovie Smith. Overwhelmingly, the answer was yes -- 87 percent of those who cast votes said so. Only 12 percent thought it was a bad decision.

"Entertainment News" should not be reported until there are no more wars anywhere, everyone on the planet has clean water to drink and enough to eat, and a safe environment to live and raise their family.

Celeb news is what people like to use when they do not want to deal with real life events..they create their own little world and what's important to/in it....20 ladies can tell you all about a soap opera but thoes same 20 ladies couldn't tell you the first thing about what's going on in politics...but raise that flag high, praise the soldiers going to die on foreign shores..and yell out go America...most men could care less..all most of us men want is to see these high profile ladies necked.....lmao...or dressed up in thier little skimpy gun toting outfits saving the world...then see them go down in a ball of flames being little whores spread eagle on the internet......hehehehehehe...or is it just me?..lmao
