And the Winners of Our Twinkies Drawing Are...
Joliet Patch not only met its goal of 2,000 Facebook "likes" by Dec. 31, but surpassed it by 100. Two people who liked us were randomly chosen to each win a box of the Hostess treats from the last batch ever made.
The lure of the Twinkie proved too difficult to resist for more than 280 people who "liked" Joliet Patch on Facebook in order to enter our random drawing to win two of the last boxes to roll off the assembly line.
We launched our drive on Dec. 13. We had 1,844 likes and we desperately wanted to reach 2,000 by Dec. 31. We thought it might be a farfetched idea given how busy people are during the Christmas holidays, but the "likes" started rolling in and we not only achieved our goal, but surpassed it by more than 100.
Thank you to each and every person who helped us reach this milestone, and to all of our wonderful, dedicated readers who make our efforts every day worthwhile.
