The results are in, and the winner of Romeoville Patch’s National Dog Day photo contest is a patriotic pooch named Rufio.
The picture of the Neapolitan mastiff and his owner, Kathryn Dunlap of Plainfield, both decked out in red, white and blue, was the top vote-getter. The human/canine duo wins a $25 gift card to PETCO and some free Patch swag.
