Four Valley View School District 365U wrestlers qualified for the IHSA state individual wrestling championships with outstanding performances at the Moline Sectional Saturday.

Romeoville High School senior Naquan Hardy (37-2) finished second at 120 pounds, losing 17-3 in the championship match against unbeaten Trayvon Zabala of Joliet Central. His teammate, senior Caleb Ramos (36-5), finished third at 231 pounds.

Bolingbrook High School sophomore Elijah Bavarro (31-10) was second at 126 pounds with his only loss coming against unbeaten Nicke Nasenbeny of Plainfield Central in the championship match. BHS senior Luis Sampedro (25-10) finished third at 145.

The individual wrestling state finals will take place this weekend.
