Romeoville High School senior Caleb Bailey has been named to the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association All-State Honorable Mention Team.

Bailey, who was the Spartans’ team MVP, made 104 tackles (including 12 for a loss) from his linebacker position this past season, intercepting one pass, recovering four fumbles and registering two sacks. On offense he rushed for 280 yards and scored three touchdowns.

The 6-1, 215-pounder will play in the 2013 Semper Fidelis All-American Football Game. He earned All Southwest Prairie Conference honors and was named to the Herald News All Area First Team, and is weighing seven scholarship offers from Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Ball State, Bowling Green, Toledo, Miami of Ohio and Wyoming.
