RHS Homecoming Game, Dance Set for Next Week
Romeoville High School will mark its 2012 homecoming with a week of festivities beginning on Sept. 17 and culminating in the annual homecoming dance Sept. 22.
The Spartans will meet Plainfield in a pair of football games on Sept. 21 with the sophomore game beginning at 5 p.m. and the varsity game at 7 p.m.
Earlier in the day at a student-and-staff-only pep rally, the homecoming king and queen will be crowned.
This year’s homecoming theme will be “Midnight in the City” with the annual dodge ball tournament slated for 6 p.m. Sept. 17, a volleyball match at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 18, the annual homecoming community carnival from 6 to 9 p.m. on Dept. 19 and the varsity vs. alumni soccer game and powder puff football game back-to-back on Sept. 20.
During the week students will be encouraged to “Orange Out” on Monday, observe “Stoplight Day” on Tuesday, where black (upperclassmen) and white (underclassmen) on Wednesday, dress similar to friends on Thursday and participate in color wars by class on Friday.
