Armando Luevano, 55, of Rockton, passed away Sunday, Aug. 21, after a courageous battle with Pick’s Disease, a rare form of dementia.
He was the beloved husband of Patti (nee Schou); loving father of Mindi (Justin) Hatch and Staci Luevano; dear son of Lucinda Luevano and son-in-law of Robert and Mary Ann Schou. He is survived by three brothers—Eddie (Rhonda), Rudy and Hector (Sharyn) Luevano—and a sister, Patty (Jeff) Hoyle. He also leaves behind brother-in-law James (Linda) Schou, numerous nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law Janet Zabinski.
His father, Eduardo Luevano Sr., precedes him in death.
Armando was a 1974 graduate of Romeoville High School. He will be remembered for his devotion to his family and service to the Rockton community.
A memorial will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Ats-a-Nice Pizza, 334 N. Independence Blvd. in Romeoville, to celebrate Armando's life. Space is limited. If you are interested in attending, please contact the family directly.
Open visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Beth Eden United Methodist Church, 3201 Huffman Blvd. in Rockford. Services will follow at 11 a.m.
