Lewis University will host the President’s 5th Annual Juried Competition 2013 on Feb. 4-28 in the newly constructed art gallery in the Oremus Fine Arts Building, on the Romeoville campus.

The competition will feature various works of art from current students and alumni. It is the first year the competition is open to alumni. The exhibit is free and open to the public from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.

There will be an opening reception and awards ceremony beginning at 7 p.m. Feb. 6. Reservations for the reception are encouraged before Jan. 28. Contact Natalie Swain, gallery coordinator, at 815-588-7179 or swainna@lewisu.edu for more information.

The competition is being presented as a part of Lewis University’s Arts & Ideas Program, providing cultural and educational programming for students and the community. A portion of the Arts & Ideas events is sponsored by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council.
